THANK YOU FOR STOPPING IN.....AND DO CALL TO INQUIRE INTO TRAINING WITH US.

Pictured here you have Obedience, in a "novice" ring,(at Regina, Saskatchewan with my first Companion Dog:   "Jesse").   The second picture is a line-up of "Qualifying Scores" at a Trial in Peterborough Ontario.   Below that is training for dumb-bell work at "open" level. Beside there is training class in conformation, and a couple of pictures of Sanction Matches.   Below is a "Specials Only" ring at a National Specialty....a Breed Specific Event, here it is   for only Collies, and in this case:   Shelties, and is usually judged by a Breeder Judge.   There is also a Sporting Group ring, a different level of competition again, at an All-Breed Show; where only the Best of Breed Winners compete and one only goes on for Best In Show Competition.   My entry is the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.   The larger photos are of   a new Companion Dog title on TOKEN'S HEARTBREAK KID C.D. "Wolf", and a new Championship on CH TOKEN'S GOLDRUSH C.D., TT.; "Captain".   "Capt'n" and "Wolf" are also pictured in the line-up of Qualifying Scores at a Trial in Peterborough.

These exercises are all very useful and purposeful.   The Championships are how the C.K.C. select dogs worthy to be used for reproduction as breeding stock....the Companion Dog and other levels of obedience are for "performance" and relationship dog to handler, where they are judged against a score sheet as opposed to process of elimination as the Conformation Judging goes.   Dogs are docked from a perfect score for errors like crooked sits, no sits, crowding the handler.   The handler can also loose in this ring for error.   Dogs are expected to be neat and clean.....for any of these events or to come to school, to keep venues and facilities open for us dogs to train in ..... and to not insult a judge who handles a lot of dogs in a day.   In the obedience ring, however, their "conforming" to the Breed Standard is not taken into account as it is in conformation .... it is judged purely on performance.   "Showmanship" --- a happy, enthusiastic, and willing worker counts in all rings and at all events and is at all times paramount to this trainer's techniques.

There are many useful titles and competitions used for the selection of dogs worthy of breeding or to be good companions:   T.T. for temperament and protection, H.C. or H.T. for herding instinct (certified or tested).   Agility is a growing sport, where the dogs manouver over ramps, through weave poles and tunnels.   ....   Fun for the dog, the owner....   socialization and exercise for everyone.   Do come out and participate in these dog-oriented classes......EVERYONE IS WELCOME, purebred, mixed breeds, accomplished handlers and novices.   This is a social outing for your "Best Friend" ... as well as an academic venture.
