THIS SIGHT IS CURRENTLY "UNDER CONSTRUCTION"

Offering three levels, Beginner's Obedience, Novice for the experienced handler, and Conformation Show Handling (which makes an excellent Puppy Kindergarten.....basic leash manners, and to stand or go onto the grooming table for examination by a judge or veterinarian)

NEXT REGISTRATION MONDAY AUGUST 31, 2009, late aft'/evening; Southbrook Town Hall, offering all three levels for a 6 week session >>> the rest hopefully on Saturdays.

All of the exercises in these courses are of benefit to anybody's pet....the Obedience classes are based on the Canadian Kennel Club's "Companion Dog" exercises.....a very fitting title.   The simple commands that we share with the student are:   "come, heel, down, sit, stand, stay and 'finish' or 'place' back into the heel position".   We also teach:   "collar, kennel, NO", simple stuff that anybody's pet can benefit from on a daily basis.

These courses not only improve the relationship handler to dog.....and gives the dog a great outing that he truly enjoys to interact with other canines.....but it improve the dogs interaction with every person or dog that he encounters over the course of his lifetime.

MAN'S BEST FRIEND:   Give your dog a chance to learn a language that he/she understands.

We may have some interest to also offer a fourth level class, which we will do as a "workshop" in Upper Level or Open Work.....towards the C.D.X., Companion Dog Excellent.   This work involves jumps and retrieves, and the dog has to be steady to work totally off leash.   We will introduce some of those exercies in the "Novice"

PLEASE JOIN US and let you dog enjoy this sort of exercise.   Beneficial for everyone's relationship and also health.

SATURDAY's, is what we had.

12:00   Noon, depending on interest, and input from potential students.   Please call and lets get lined up to accomodate as many individual's needs as we can.   I have a long drive:   two and a half hours, to come there.....so let's make the most out of the time that I can spend with you.

You will be given a Course Outline:   I work with a planned outline which I have successfully used for many years....introducing exercises one or two at a time each week for "your homework".   This is the plan for Obedience.

Show Handling or Puppy Kindergarten is much less structured,....it is experience and socialization, no homework assignments really as far as memory work goes.   We will be discussing "handling tricks" to not let yourself get blocked by the more experienced handler....how to accentuate the strong points and hide the faults (presuming there is usually something that could be a little more perfect in any dog.)   This course is the best place to start with a young dog who's memory is not that of a mature dog ... just to get used to being around other dogs and to moving on a loose lead and being examined.

You will also, should you enrol, sign a registration form and waiver .... it will give me the age and history of the dog, any specific problems or previous training ... and you will sign a Waiver to both myself and the Venue as to management of your own dog.

Please call at   (450)521-7577 or (709) 673-4927

Thank you for your inquiry, have a Good Day .... and I look forward to meeting you.
